Over the past number of months, I have taken intentional time to pause and quietly observe the creative space around me.
I have read the work of many writers online — some who share beautiful animated storytelling, heartfelt reflections, and gentle messages of hope.
There is so much goodness and creativity in this world.
There is also space for many different voices, many different styles, and many different callings.
I do not feel the need to defend my path, nor do I feel it is my place to measure my work against that of others.
However, through this season of reflection, I have come to recognize that there is a clear difference in the way I am personally led to write.
While I have seen pieces that carry a quiet sense of faith or spiritual comfort, very few openly stand on a clear biblical foundation or speak directly about God and Jesus as the centre of their message.
Many writers choose a softer or more universal expression of hope — and I truly understand why.
In today’s online world, taking a strong and visible stand in faith can sometimes feel risky.
It may mean reaching fewer readers or growing more slowly in numbers and recognition.
Yet for me, writing has never been about reaching the widest audience possible.
It has always been about writing from a place of truth.
My Christian faith is not simply an influence in my storytelling — it is the ground beneath it.
It shapes the tone of my words, the purpose of my characters, and the light I hope each story carries into the lives of those who read them.
This is not about comparison or pride.
It is about clarity.
It is about being honest with the calling I feel on my heart.
If I were to remove that foundation in order to fit more comfortably into certain spaces, my writing would no longer feel authentic.
And if I cannot write from what I truly believe, then I would rather choose not to write at all.
I share these thoughts simply so that those who follow my work can better understand the intention behind it.
My hope is never to divide, but to offer gentle encouragement, steady faith, and a sense of light for those who may be searching for it.
There is room in this world for many storytellers.
This is simply the path I have been given to walk. 🌿
May the stories we share continue to point quietly toward hope, faith, and the steady presence of God’s love.
