Out with out with the old and in with the new

There comes a time in life when we begin to feel it — a quiet nudge that says, it’s time for something new.

Not because what was before was wrong.

Not because the past didn’t matter.

But because God continues to shape us, season by season.

We are not meant to stay the same forever.

Faith itself is a journey — one that grows, stretches, and deepens as we walk it out. Through joy and loss, through certainty and questions, God meets us where we are and gently invites us forward.

If we always stayed the same, life would grow small. Predictable. Comfortable — perhaps — but not full. And I don’t believe God created us for small, muted lives. I believe He created us to grow, to learn, and to step courageously into the purpose He places within us.

Sometimes “out with the old” doesn’t mean letting go of people or memories. Sometimes it means releasing old fears, old limitations, or the belief that it’s too late to begin again.

It isn’t.

God is always doing something new — even when we don’t fully see it yet. Scripture reminds us of this, that He makes a way in the wilderness and brings streams to the desert. New beginnings are often quiet at first, but they are no less sacred.

Each of us has been given gifts — passions placed carefully in our hearts by God Himself. When we ignore them, something within us grows restless. But when we nurture them, we honour the Creator who placed them there.

Life is short.

Too short to bury our talents.

Too short to silence the call God is gently whispering.

So if you’ve been feeling that nudge — that stirring in your spirit — I encourage you to lean into it. Pray about it. Trust God with the uncertainty. You don’t need the whole path laid out before you; you only need the courage to take the next step.

Growth doesn’t mean abandoning who you were.

It means trusting who God is shaping you to become.

And as for me, I’m choosing to keep evolving — faithfully, creatively, and with gratitude for every season God brings.
